Let’s start with America favorite recipe”Pizza” NYC Style

Hmm Hmm I am getting hungry already. Okay here is a recipe for a mouth watering cheese or you could of course add whatever toppings you care to. This recipe was provide to me from one of New York City’s Best Pizza House’s.

I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as my family did!

 

NYC Pizza Recipe

Dough Ingredients:
1 cup lukewarm water
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon shortening
1 tablespoon corn meal
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 package yeast
3 cups all-purpose flour or unbleached white flour

Sauce Ingredients & Prep:

Combine the following ingredients in a sauce pan and cook into a smooth sauce, on medium heat, stirring regularly. Then, refrigerate or cool to room temperature before applying to the pizza.

2 cans (14.5 oz.) Roma or AnyWhole Peeled Tomatoes*
1 can (14.5 oz.) Roma or Any Pizza Sauce*
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram, crushed     NYC Pizza Recipe
1/2 teaspoon California Garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne black pepper

Cheese & Toppings:
2-3 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

White Pizza Recipe NYC Style Pizza Recipes

White pizza recipe

White pizza is called this name due to the lack of tomato based sauce and stress on use of white cheeses. The White pizza has become very popular, now offered by many establishments. Here is a quick and tasty recipe

Ingredients

    • Refrigerated or Pre made Pizza Crust                White Pizza Recipe
    • Olive Oil
    • Mozzarella Cheese
    • Provolone Cheese
    • Parmesan Cheese
    • Pinch of garlic
    • Pinch of basil
    • 2 Pinches of oregano
    • Vegetable Toppings (i.e. Spinach, Onions, broccoli, Asparagus, tomato slices

Cooking Directions

If using refrigerated crust, precook the crust. Lightly brush top of cooked crust with olive oil. Sprinkle basil, oregano and garlic on top of crust. Then top with Mozzarella Cheese and Provolone Cheese, then vegetable toppings, last adding the Parmesan cheese and another pinch of oregano. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling. (Optional alternative is to use crumbled Feta instead of Provolone)
